Professional Experience
During the Fall 2008 semester, I was a marketing intern at Progressive Pro./Caterer’s Warehouse in Rochdale, MA. PPE/Caterer’s Warehouse serves the catering, hospitality, food service, awards and promotional products industries. They are one of America’s leading sources for tabletop supplies; their products include hard-to-find items directed towards these industries, including glassware, china, cake stands, Paul Revere bowls and trophies. While there, I processed catalog requests using ACT and assisted in bulk mailings projects. I also processed Internet sales orders using QuickBooks and maintained up-to-date lists of back ordered and out of stock items. I actively worked on the website, uploading new products and editing item descriptions. I worked closely with the owner on revamping the eBay store, ensuring that the item descriptions were accurate. Additionally, I wrote press releases for industry publications and assisted with research projects regarding new software to update and enhance the catalog’s web presence .

I also wrote a 30-word company description for a listing for an upcoming trade show publication. Figuring out how to describe the company in 30 words or less was harder than I thought it would be! That description can be viewed here.
